As a totally solo indie animator.. It blows my mind every time I make one of these announcements... Spooky Tales With Boo Kitty: Franken Cupcake has won Best International Extended Short Film at Dunwich Horror Fest usa🖤
I made this film over the course of 18 months. While struggling with the battles of my cluster of autoimmune diseases. I'm fortunate to have a supportive husband that keeps me alive while working the gruelling 18 hour + animation days and nights.. While we had a ton of late nights we also had a lot of laughs while working on this film... My husband voices Panku, and our audio recording sessions consist of my husband standing in the kitchen, quite literally yelling his lines... I'm sure our neighbours wonder wtf 🤣
To have done the unthinkable, with animating a film of this length (23 minutes) was a huge task. To have it out on it's festival run now and to see it doing so well makes both of us here extremely proud of what we created.
So Boo Kitty is now officially an award winner, but don't worry we won't let it go to her head... Frosti on the other hand....
