Wishbone Origins Officially Selected for the Los Angeles International Underground Film Festival 2026

Sometimes life feels really surreal.

What started as me searching for hope at a low time in life…  turned into a tiny magical creature born from a wish… that has now officially been selected for screening at the Los Angeles International Underground Film Festival 2026 😭

Wishbone Origins is the very first short film I’ve ever submitted to film festivals.
Honestly? I fully expected a long stream of rejection emails and thought I’d probably never bother trying again 💀

Instead... Wishbone is going to Hollywood!!! 🩷

This project means so much to me because it was the origin story, based on the real life moment, that created Wishbone ... and started what is now Candy Kult Land

Seeing Wishbone Origins become an official selection feels like one of those moments where the little good luck charm started taking on a life of her own ✨

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported Candy Kult Land over the years. Every comment, share, order, Kickstarter pledge, sticker search, plush toy photo, message, and piece of encouragement helped me continue building this strange colorful universe.

It genuinely means the world to me.
